    Do you know about Lang Lang? Yes, he is a very famous Chinese pianist. He was born in Shenyang in 1982. He showed his talent (天赋) for playing the piano when he was two. He began to take piano lessons at the age of three. When he was 12, he was awarded first prize for outstanding artistic performance at the fourth International Competition for Young Pianists.

    He bagan his study at Curtis Institute (学院) of Music in America when he was 15. He studied hard and became a top pianist. At a concert, the great pianist Andre Watts was ill. So Lang Lang took his place and played. At last, he succeeded. Then he became famous all over the world from that night on.

    In August, 2008, he played the piano at the opening ceremony (开幕式) of Beijing Olympic Games.
