Did you hear about Meilun and Meihuan? They are a pair of twin pandas. They were born in a zoo in Atlanta, US. They have lived there for three years. Earlier this month, they came back to their hometown-Sichuan, China.
However, the two pandas are still not getting used to China They don't eat Chinese food like corn bread(窝窝头). They like US food. They can't understand Sichuan Chinese, but they can understand a few English words. Meilun and Meihuan attract many Chinese people to see them. They are just like popular stars.
Pandas are lovely and they mainly live in mountains in Sichuan because there is enough food, bamboo. There are about 1, 000 pandas in China. About 140 pandas live in zoos. Scientists are not sure how long pandas live in the wild, but they are sure a panda's lifespan (寿命) in the wild is shorter than that in zoos. Zoo pandas can live to as old as 35.
