Residents in Yantian District, Liantang in Luohu District, Guanlan in Longhua District(28th, October, 2020)' to find commuting easier as four new Metro sections were put into service.
The four sections are Phase I of Line 8, Phase III of Line 2, the southern extension of Line 3,there are 11 Metro lines with 283 stations in operation across the city, extending a total of more than 400 kilometers
The 3. 9-kilometer Phase III of Line 2 runs from Xinxiu to Liantang stations in Luohu District with three stations, and is crucial for the development of the eastern side of the city because it connects Liantang Checkpoint, the seventh land border crossing facility between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
From Liantang Station, the line seamlessly(无缝地) connects with Phase I of Line 8 that starts at Wutong Mountain South Station in Luohu District and ends at Yantian Road Station in Yantian District
Line 8 is the first Metro line in Yantian.
The 10. 8﹣kilometer Phase III of Line 4 runs from Qinghu to Niuhu stations in Longhua District. It will bring residents in Guanlan access to the Metro service. It has eight stations, including Changhu Station, an interchange station with Metro Line 18 that is under planning;Songyuan Station, an interchange station with the future Line 22,an interchange station with the Longhua tram line.
The southern extension of Line 3 runs 1. 45 kilometers from Yitian Station to Futian Bonded Zone. It will relieve the difficulty of commuters working inside the zone.
A total of six new Metro sections have opened in Shenzhen this year. In the coming years, Shenzhen will construct more than 200 kilometers of Metro lines a year.
