On New Year's Day, many people eat special food for good luck in the new year. Most Chinese people eat dumplings, because they are round. Round food means family reunion. The Jewish（犹太人的）people often eat apples with honey, because they want to have a sweet new year. In Spain（西班牙）, people eat twelve grapes at midnight on New Year's Eve. Because one grape stands for good luck in one month of the new year. And every Spanish people wants to have good luck in the new year.
