We knowthe mosquito (蚊子) very well. Mosquitoes fly everywhere. They can be found almost allover the world. There are more than 2,500 kinds of mosquitoes in the world.
No one likes the mosquito. But the mosquitomay decide that she loves you. She? Yes, she. It's true that male mosquitoes don'tbite (咬) and only female mosquitoesbite because they need blood to lay eggs. They are always looking for people theywant to bite. If a female mosquito likes what she finds, she bites. But if she doesn'tlike your blood, she will turn to someone else for more delicious blood. Next timewhen a mosquito bites you, just remember you are chosen. You're different from theothers!
If the mosquito likes you, she lands onyour body without letting you know. She bites you so quickly and quietly that youmay not feel anything different. After she bites, you will have an itch (痒) on your body becauseshe puts something into your blood. By the time the itching begins, she has flownaway.
And then what happens? Well, after her deliciousdinner, the mosquito feels tired. She just wants to find a place to have a goodrest. There, on a leaf or a wall, she begins to lay eggs, hundreds of eggs.
