Tall buildings pop up overnight. Millions people come to work and live. Sofar, a small fishing village (turn) into one of China's biggest cities. This is Shenzhen, a "city of miracles".
On Aug. 26, 1980, China's (one) special economic zone (SEZ) was set up in Shenzhen. "My father came from Sichuan to Shenzhen in his twenties," said Li Jiayan. Li is a 16-year-old boy and he grew. in Shenzhen. "He got his first job as a salesman. Later my parents started (they) own business."
"In the early days, we (live) in the small paint shop. Now we have our own factory and live in a (much) comfortable house," Li said proudly. "It's all because of my parents' hard work. They always tell me, ' you work hard, you won't have a wonderful future. '"

Today, many of China's top (company) are based in Shenzhen, including Huawei and Tencent.
Courage, innovation(创新) and hard work—these are what have made Shenzhen a miracle, and what will also drive China's future.
