Few of us enjoy doing housework, but it still has to be done in order to keep the best living environment. Although, we usually think parents should do all the housework, some studies suggest that children, too, should do as much housework as they can. Housework teaches children life skills (技能) Children will grow up and leave home one day, so they need to learn many life skills such as how to wash clothes, cook and clean the house. Schools normally don't teach these things, so learning to do housework from home is even more important. Housework helps children learn responsibility "Do your own tasks yourself" is something that many parents like to tell their kids, which is good. In fact, parents teach their kids by letting them finish their own little tasks. At the same time, children will be very proud of being able to take care of themselves. Housework helps children learn respect We usually won't understand how much our parents have done until we live on our own. When children are left at home alone, they get to know how hard their parents work by sharing some of the housework. The more children know about the difficulties of housework, the more they will respect their parents, who keep the house clean and tidy every day. |
