In 2008, Yuan Longping(success) developed rice growing in saltwater and desert. Though his rice could reduce food shortage, the new strain had a long way(go) before it could be widely spread.
Yuan Longping's(achieve) has brought him many awards and honors both home and abroad. He said, “What lifetime award means is to achieve your dream with all your life.", fame and wealth mean much less to himhis research. He said he would focus on developing better rice.
