It was a hot afternoon last summer. When I was1on the way home, I 2an old man. He was holding a 3 , which said," Need Help". The 4was busy and I had to drive on. Later when I returned, I saw the old man5towards me. So I stopped beside him and asked him what he was doing. "I want to meet my best6. We have been friends7 about 50 years. But he is going to8soon, and I want to be with him in the last minute of his life," he said.
It was very 9 outside so I gave him a bottle of cold water, some food, some money and a bag to10everything in. He thanked me and accepted the things that l gave him. Although he looked11 ,I hugged (拥抱) him before I left, I felt so12and peaceful(安宁的).
Helping others13a great thing. When you offer 14 others, you will15get many things in return. And those are the things that you will never forget.
