Recently, volunteering is more and more popular in our daily lives. It is becoming a common thing among people of all ages. We believe that being helpful is one of the most important qualities（品质）. In some Chinese high schools, the students need to volunteer for at least 40 hours to graduate. There are many kinds of voluntary work, such as organizing books in libraries, taking care of children in hospital, delivering food to the old and so on.
Tom once volunteered in a primary school. His job was to help students. When he first started, he was nervous. Then, as time went on, he became more and more interested in his job. He worked as a volunteer in the school for 2 months. He got along well with the students. When the voluntary work was over, he felt happy and excited.
