My friend Alice is an American high school student. She attended a dance last Saturday, what she wore a traditional Chinese dress called as qipao in Chinese. Alice found the dress at used clothing store. She thought it will help her stand out at the dance. She chose the dress because she liked its highly collar. The dress is "Chinese red", a color represent good fortune and joy. On her dance night, Alice posted several photo of her wearing the dress on a website late. She said wearing the qipao really gave us a sense of admiration for other cultures. She also explained the history or importance of qipao.
