China is now the world's biggest electric vehicle market, with nearly 1. 29 million electric vehicles(EVs) (sell) in 2020 alone, accounting 40. 5 percent of global sales (3. 17 million) last year, and a (grow) of 8. 3 percent year-on-year, according to data from the International Energy Agency.
"The EV firms have grown (dramatic) in a short period of time, and the acquisition of some struggling Western automaker brands further (prove) China's success, "said Gavin Harper, a researcher from the Faraday Institution at the University of Birmingham.
