It was a nice Monday morning and I was waiting for the bus at the station. "Here (come) the bus," a boy nearby cried out. But it was not the bus I was waiting for. Hardly had the bus stopped when crowds of people gathered in front the door, waiting (anxious) to get on the bus. Out rushed a young man with a cell-phone in his hand as soon as the door (open). Chasing him was a tall and strong man. He was a policeman! The young man was (catch) stealing a cell-phone.
Caught, the young man had something to say for himself. He said his father was ill in bed and couldn't take care of (he). Neither could his mother, because she had been blind ever since she (be) born. Two younger brothers and a younger sister were waiting for money to go school. Try as he might, the young man said, he couldn't find a job. He said only in this way (can) he provide for his big family and that should he have another chance, he (will) not do this again.
