English names are different
from (不同于) Chinese names. In Chinese,
the family name is in front of the given name.
Most (大多数) English people have three names: a first name, a middle name and a
family name. For example (例如), my full name (全名) is Ann Alan Green. Ann is my first name. Alan is my middle name. Green
is my family name. The given name comes first; the family name comes last.
English
people don't use (使用) their middle names very
much. So you can call me Ann Green. People never use Mr., Mrs. or Miss before their
first names. So we can say Miss or Ms. Green. But we can't say Miss Ann or Ms. Ann.
