How to Plant a Tree
Planting a tree isn't as simple as digging a hole and throwing the tree into it.
Step 1 Decide where you want to plant it and mark it. You can decide on a place to plant your tree. .
Step 2 Measure the root ball. Before you start digging the hole, measure the plant's root ball. This will tell you how deep you need to dig the hole.
Step 3. Dig the hole as deep as the football and twice as wide.
Step 4 Place the tree into the hole gently.
Step 5 Cover the hole with soil. Make sure you have enough soil to support the roots.
Step 6 Stake the tree if necessary. Larger trees may need two or three stakes.
Step 7 . Water it and keep up a regular schedule of watering.
