My father and I always had a bit of trouble in our relationship. It's not that we didn't love each other. Its just that we used to have our (自己的) ideas. My dad is a very hard-working man while I was a dreamer. Often, I played sports but gave up when I was making (进步;进展). Then I showed an interest in music. My father got excited and (提供) me with a guitar when I was about eight. But I really didn't like it until I was a teenager. During those years, I took up my guitar and enjoyed the pleasure of music and dreamed to be a musician and win the (心,心脏) of my fans.
When I grew into a young man, I often felt very (虚弱的) and it was discovered that I had a terrible kidney illness. I had to accept treatment all my life or get a transplant. I could (几乎不) believe it. I felt like there was a heavy (重担:量) on my shoulders. Life became hard for me. But I was lucky enough because of my loving father. He even got tested to see if he was the right man to give me his kidney. I tried to refuse, but he would hear (一点也没有,没有一个) of it. He saved my life at last.
These days, I plan to start a band. My father (期望;期盼) to play in a band ever since he was young, but never got the chance. I think it is one of (有价值的) gifts I can give to him.
