How to Make Friends with Neighbors
All of us have neighbors. Most of us want to be friends with our neighbors. But do you know how to make friends with neighbors? Here are some suggestions.
Try to know your neighbors. If you move into a new place and nobody comes to greet you, you can introduce yourself to your neighbors. Go up to your neighbors' houses and say hello. Treat them to cookies, bread, candies or some other snacks.
Help your neighbors when they are in trouble. If you see your neighbors carrying heavy things, you can offer to help them. They will be thankful to you. Let me tell you a story about myself. One day when I got home from school, I found I forgot to take keys with me. What's worse, my parents had to work till night. Then my neighbor invited me to her house and treated me to dinner. When my parents came back, they thanked my neighbor for her help. Then we became friends with our neighbor.
Wish them happy holidays. Take some cakes or candies to your neighbors and wish them a happy New Year. Take them to your neighbors and wish them a happy Mid-Autumn Festival.
Invite your neighbors to dinner or a barbecue. You can get to know them over a delicious meal. Ask them not to bring anything. You can also invite your neighbors to your house if you're watching a sports game that you think they might be interested in.
Think more of your neighbors. Don't play loud music in the early morning or after nine o'clock at night. Keep your arguments within the walls of your house. Nobody wants to know about your personal or family problems.
Don't stop your children from playing with your neighbors' children because of religion, race or other unimportant things. They will probably grow up together. So, just let them be friends.
