One day, a homeless man(name)Charlie drove his electric wheelchair into my office. His wheelchair was running out of power.
I pushed him around the office, looking for a place to charge (充电) his wheelchair. My workmate Diane noticed us and asked Charliehis chair was dying and how long he had owned it. Charlie told us that he had owned it for about three years. He didn't have much money(buy)the battery(电池). So he usually just pushed (he)a round using his hands.
Diane said that her family hadold wheelchair which wasn't being used. She asked Charlie if he would like it. Charlie said yes (happy). Diane left and came back about an hour later with a wheelchair. I didn't know much about wheelchairs, I could tell that this wheelchair was nice. Charlie liked it very much. However, Diane told us that there was one small problem with it. One of the (wheel) is broken. We(take) it to a shop just a mile away to get it working again. Before long, the wheelchair has been repaired. Charlie got his new legs and thanked Diane her generous (慷慨的) gift.
