Does anyone have any good advice for practicing English outside of class?I'm studying in Colombia. |

One very easy thing you can do is to change the language on your phone or computer. In this way, you are reading English every day and you will learn a lot of new words, I have found this way really helpful. |

My advice is to do things that you like in English. For example, if you like going to the cinema, then you can watch films in English. I'm interested in jazz, so I read magazines and online articles about jazz in English. |

The thing that really helped me to improve my English was having an Australian pen pal. We spoke English all the time and I improved really quickly. |

Practice saying things in your head. It could be anything — you could describe your job or your holiday plans, or talk about yourself or your family. Then, when you really need to speak English, it's easier because you have been speaking English very often in your head. |
