A new mother held her tiny baby in her arms looked upon his face with joy. (突然地), the enjoy on her face froze--the baby had been born without ears. How could that be! It seemed that a big black (云) hung over the poor family.
As time went by, he was proved to have no (困难) hearing instead of being (聋的). With his parents' care and love, he gradually grew up and (发展)a talent for music. However, people around him looked at him strangely or laughed at him. Someone even regard him as a freak(怪人), which made his parents heartbroken.
After (交流)with their family doctor, his parents decided to graft (移植) a pair of outer ears for him. Although it was pretty hard to search for the right person, they never gave up.
Two years later, they finally made it. The operation was a (成功) and made difference to his life. His life was filled with (笑声) again. Thank fully, he was always asking his parents who helped him. (两者都不) of them offered the answer until that day. He stood with his father over his mother's casket(灵柩). Slowly, softly, the father put out a hand and raised her (厚的), brown hair to show that the mother had no outer ears. "Mother said she was glad she never let her hair be cut, " he whispered softly, "and nobody ever thought Mother less beautiful, did they?"
