Uruguay won the first World Cup in 1930. Brazil has （成功地）won the World Cup five times. The Brazilian style of football is beautiful to watch—full of tricks and（技能）. The 2010 FIFA World Cup took place in South Africa. It was the first cup hosted in Africa. The 2014 FIFA World Cup began on June 12 in Brazil, and it （持续）about one month. The national teams of 32 countries competed in 64 matches. New technology was used in the Brazil World Cup. For example, electronic sensors were used to check（是否）the ball crossed the goal line or not. And the 2018 FIFA World Cup was held in Russia from June 14 to July 15. It was the first time the World Cup was held in Russia and in （东部的）European countries. On the early morning of July 16, 2018, France （打败）Croatia 4-2 and won the 2018 World Cup.
Although the Chinese National team hasn't made it to the World Cup. Most Chinese,（包括） me, feel sad about it. But it doesn't stop Chinese football fans watching the matches. I hope the Chinese National team will have the （机会）to take part in the FIFA World Cup soon.
