He lived with his family in Qingdao for the first 6 years of his life and then they moved to Beijing. They could find all kinds of street food and restaurants near their house. When his family moved to the UK again in 2016, he often missed that.
Though he didn't live in China anymore, he loved to eat Chinese food. He decided to order Chinese food online, but the food always let him down. He also made some cooking videos and shared them online.
Now the cooking videos are very popular. They can learn to make all kinds of Chinese food from his videos, like jianbing and zongzi. Max usually teaches cooking in a simple way.
"When people ask me where I'm from, I find it hard to answer it. I grew up in China, but I'm now living in the UK," he says. " I hope to share Chinese or British culture with people of the two countries. "
