As we know, calligraphy is the essence of Chinese traditional culture.
When it comes to calligraphy, Chinese people must associate it with Wang Xizhi, Chinese writer and an official who lived during the Eastern Jin dynasty. But he was best known as the most celebrated Chinese calligrapher, (tradition) considered to be the Sage of Calligraphy. Wang (refer) to as the greatest Chinese calligrapher in history and is a master of all forms of Chinese calligraphy, especially skilled in Xingshu, features connections between individual characters and slightly shortened forms. All his lifetime he produced a large number of works of calligraphy, but to our regret, up to now, the majority of his original works (destroy) or lost.
Of all the powerful works of Wang Xizhi, is most familiar to us is the masterpiece Lantingji Xu. The classic article describes a gathering of forty-two Chinese famous poets and (write) including Xie An and Sun Chuo. And Lantingji Xu is made up 324 Chinese characters in 28 lines. It seems (amaze) that the Chinese character zhi (之) appears 17 times, no two characters look the same.
