Should students be allowed to decide the subjects taught in schools? Different people have different ideas about this question.
In some people's opinion, kids have the right to make decisions for (they). It's the21st century. Kids have many ways to get knowledge iPads, cell phones, computers, the Internet and so on. So a ten-year-old kid (know) what he is really interested in and good at already. This is also an important life skill that kids will need when they get older. This will make students (true) think about their future and improve their marks.
However, some other people disagree with them. They believe kids should not choose their own subjects. They should manage (learn) a bit of everything, or they won't be (success) in the future. Basic subjects such as English, math and science are very important when finding jobs. kids are allowed to make their own decisions, they may give up those basic subjects. What's worse, they may (influence) by the people around them and sometimes they even make some wrong (choice).
To give every kid a better (educate), we should take this question seriously. Everyone should think carefully before making the decision.
