As we all know, taking tests is a great challenge for students. A (工作努力的;辛勤的) student usually spends long hours getting ready for a test.
To get good grades, those students read all their books (仔细地). Also, they need to know the answers to every (可能的) question. They study every night. In the USA, many children begin going to school when they are five years old. Public education is free and (大多数) children go to school near their homes. School life in these early years is fun. The children learn to read and write. But they also play games and take a (假期). There is no (理由) for them to work hard at such an early age.
This will be differentas children grow older. The subjects become more difficult. Students have to (选择) to learn about world history, geography, and life science. Tests become more (常见的). However, many students don't study hard until they get to high school. (几乎) everyone who gets a high grade in the test can go to a top (大学).
All this adds up to a lot of work.
