I need your help. My 13-year-old son doesn't seem(have) any good friends. He never (invite) anyone home or goes out with anyone from his new school. When I asked, he just (reply), "It's fine, Mom!" He is on the 8th grade football team, outside school, he doesn't play with any kids.

Dear Jane,
Getting into middle school is big change (变化) for both teenagers and their parents. This change can be very difficult if the kids are shy. Also remember that some teenagers feel (comfortable) being alone (单独) than with others. If your son seems "fine", don't worry too much.
If you do feel something is (true) wrong, find out the real (problem). For example, do you often argue (争吵) with your husband (丈夫) at home? If so, your son may not want to invite friends over. Young people may care their parents' feelings very much.
It's great he joined the football team. Maybe he (grow) up and make more friends if he is ready.
