A US law requires that schools provide healthy choices students.
Public schools across the country (be) on a health kick since 2010. Because of the law, students say goodbye to fatty food and say hello to better eating habits in school. They also have been exercising more during the school day. It's up to schools to decide they obey the law. Most schools add healthy food and drinks instead of snacks and soft drinks.

Being overweight can lead to serious health problems later in life. Experts say the number of children aged 6~11 years old were overweight doubled (加倍) from 1980 to 2012. ."
