I was in Houston a few weeks ago, and needed to go back home in Austin the next day. It's a long way to go, so I decided to leave at about 5:00 the next morning.
When I was on the highway, I suddenly (意识到)that I left my wallet at Houston. So I had to (返回)to get it. However, on the way of returning, one tire(轮胎)of my car broke. I was very (焦虑的)because I couldn't (修理)it. No one could give me a hand.
So I closed the doors and called a tow truck(拖车). Soon, a man knocked(敲) on my(窗户)and asked if he could help me. From his looks, I(猜测)he was a bad person. So I refused, telling him the tow truck was coming soon. He said, "Madam, the tow truck will arrive anywhere between 45minutes and never, you aren't going anywhere (直到)you change that tire. "I thought for a while, and then I (开始)to trust him. So I got out. He looked(吃惊的).
It took a while to change the tire. Then he said, "Thank you for letting me help you. You(自愿给予) me a chance(机会) when most people would never open the door to someone like me. "
