July 20th, 1969 was an important day. Two Americans got to the moon. They were the first men on the moon. Their names were Armstrong and Aldrin. Their spaceship's name was Apollo 11. They left the earth on July 16th. It took them three days to get there. There is no air, no water, no plant and no animal on the moon. They picked up some rocks and brought them back to the spaceship. They jumped up and down. They were very tired after moon walking, so they took a rest. On July 21st, Apollo 11 left the moon and came back to the earth.
