A farmer has a farm near the sea. He writes a notice for hired hands. A short man comes to the farmer.
"Are you a good farmhand? "the farmer asks him.
"Well, I can sleep when the wind blows. "answers the short man.
Though he doesn't understand this answer, the farmer, who really needs help, hires him. The short man works well around the farm, busy from morning to night, and the farmer is happy with the man's work.
Then one night the wind from the sea blows loudly. Jumping out of bed, the farmer hurries to the hired hand's room. He comes to the short man and cries, "Get up! A strong wind is coming!
Tie things down before the wind blow them away!"
The short man turns over in bed and says without thinking. "No sir. I tell you, I can sleep when the wind blows. "Then he falls asleep again.
The farmer wants to fire him this time. But he needs to run outside to get ready for the strong wind. Then he is surprised to find that everything is tied down. Everything is there.
The farmer then understands what his hired hand means, so he goes back to his bed to sleep when the wind blows.
Can you sleep when the wind blows in your life?
