"Tody is spring cleaning day!" mother said. Sharon and her sister groaned(叹息). This could only mean one thing—a lot of hard work. However, they put on a brave smile and got ready to work. They knew that their mother needed their help. She had already taken two jobs to support them and had very little spare time. So, they quickly got on with the job.
Sharon chose to clean the study(书房) while mother asked her sister to clean their room. While cleaning and tidying the books and shelf in the study, Sharon came across a picture of her father. Her father died the year before last. It was a picture of them having a wonderful day at the beach. Sharon felt tears coming to her eyes. She really missed her father. When her mother came in, Sharon quickly wiped(擦)her tears. She did not want to make her mother sad. She knew her mother missed him just as much as her.
Sharon suddenly went to her mother and hugged her. "What's wrong, Sharon?" asked her mother.
"Nothing, I just want to tell you that I love you very much. Don't work too hard, Mum, " said Sharon. Her mother just smiled at her. After the cleaning was over, they had a big dinner at home.
