We went to Tibet to observe Tibetan antelopes with Zhaxi as our guide. Luckily, on the plain in front of us, we saw a herd of antelopes (move) slowly across the green grass. These beautiful animals reminded me the danger they are in because every year many of them are hunted (legal) for their valuable fur. Especially in 1980s and 1990s, their population dropped by more than 50 percent. In order (save) this species from extinction, the Chinese government placed it under national protection and set up the Changtang National Nature ReserveZhaxi works. These measures were (effect) and the antelope population (have) recovered. However, the government doesn't intend to stop the protection programmes, since the threats to the Tibetan antelopes (not disappear). Only when we learn to exist in harmony with nature we stop being a threat to wildlife and to our planet.
