Orion Jean is a boy on a mission(任务). He wanted to1kindness to as many people as possible. It all2last year when his teacher advised him to enter a speech competition. "I decide to have a try," Orion said. And3he won the competition, receiving $ 500. He realized he wasn't going to use that money. "I'm a kid," Orion said, "I have4that I could ever want. But there are many people who don't."
Then he5the idea of holding a Race to Kindness activity to help others. He decided to start by helping children in hospital who might not be able to see6families because of the COVID-19.7Orion used his winnings to buy as many toys a she could and gave them to the Children's Health Hospital in Dallas. "It is one of the8experiences of my life," he said.
Orion was just getting started. After this activity, he started "Race to 100,000 Meals" to help poor people in his9for Thanksgiving. "The need in my community has always been there," Orion explained.
While Orion continues thinking about new ways to help others, he hopes that all of these acts of kindness encourage people10.the same. "It doesn't have to be about toys or food," Orion says. "We are all able to be kind people. So long as you're making them feel loved, that is what it's all about."
