How to Give a Good Talk
Before the talk
Get a good idea, Choose a topic carefully. You can talk more easily about something you like and know about.
It's better to say less. Choose a few good ideas and think about how to communicate them clearly to your audience (听众;观众).
BEGINNING: Think of an interesting way to begin. MDDLE: Think carefully about this part of your talk. END: People often remember the ending best, so plan this part of your talk first.
rite your main ideas on a card. It helps you remember your talk while practicing. When you can do it easily without notes, then you're ready.
When you do the talk
Talk more slowly than you usually do but speak more loudly than usual. Make sure that everyone can hear you easily.
Talk to your audience, not to your hands or to the floor. Look around the room at people's faces and check they're listening.
