It may be possible to enjoy a higher standard (标准) of living if you have a small family. There are clear advantages to having a small family. They often try to develop a net-work of friends and neighbors to be part of their self-created extended family. For example, small families may celebrate holidays tand, if there are children, they may share responsibilities of child raising. Your child might go to a neighbor's hor apartment after school on certain days, and then you would do something in eto help your neighbor out. Many of these arrangements are very successful and helpful for those families.
