I was sitting on the bus one day and I didn't feel happy because of the driver's bad service. A young soldier got on the bus and he was in uniform with his bag across his shoulder and a ticket in his hand. But guess what? The driver wouldn't get his ticket! 

It was a kind of tickets for soldiers to travel. With that special ticket, the soldier needn't buy tickets for any bus. But the driver was not going to let the soldier travel. 

I was sitting at the back of the bus, but I could hear what was going on. I walked to the front of the bus where the driver was giving the soldier a hard time. I turned to face the other people on the bus and said."This is a sad thing! This young man is going to give everything to us. I think we can pay 37 dollars for him. Who's with me?"

I took ten dollars from my wallet and held it up. At once, the others started passing money to me. I turned to the driver and he was a little embarrassed(窘迫的).I counted out 37 dollars for him. I handed the rest, almost 100 dollars, to the surprised soldier and gave him a hug. 

After that, I went back to my seat. I could hardly believe my ears when the others started applauding(鼓掌).
