Kroc's family is poor, so he works in a restaurant after school. The boss (老板) makes him clean the tables every day. It makes him very angry. One day after supper, Kroc says to his father, "I won't go to the restaurant tomorrow. I want to be the boss. I don't want to clean tables every day." His father doesn't say anything. He asks Kroc to clean the table. Kroc cleans the tables very quickly. Then his father wipes the tables with a white cloth (抹布) and the cloth is very dirty. The father says to his son, Ray Kroc, "It's easy for you to clean a table, but you can't make it clean enough. How can you be the boss?" Ray Kroc's face turns red. He never forgets his father's words. After that, he uses five cloths each time to clean the tables. He works hard all the time. The boss likes him a lot and makes him the new boss of the restaurant. Ten years later, Ray Kroc opens his own restaurant company –McDonald's.
