Once upon a time, there was a little goat (山羊). His growing horns (角) made him think he was old enough to look after  (he). One evening, when his parents started to go home from the pasture (牧场), the little goat did not follow them but kept  (eat) grass there. Later, he looked around but  (find) nothing.

He was all alone. The wind made some strange noises in the grass. The little goat was so afraid that he hurried  (look) for his mother. But after a few  (minute), he saw a wolf (狼) under a tree. The goat realized there was little hope for him.

"Please, Mr. Wolf," he said, "I know you (eat) me. But could you please sing me a song? You are (good) at singing than others. I know many animals are your fans. "

The wolf was happy (hear) that, so he began to sing. At the same time, the goat's parents were moving towards the pasture and looking for (they) kid with the shepherd dogs (牧羊犬). On the quiet evening, the wolf's song went far.

Soon the shepherd dogs heard the wolf's song. They ran towards the voice right away. The wolf's song ended suddenly when he saw the dogs. He thought it was (real) stupid (愚蠢的) of him to sing the song for the little goat. He would be hungry that night.
