There was once a frog who lived in a pond（池塘）. The pond was next to an abandoned （被遗弃的） palace. One day, the frog made up his mind to have a look at the palace. So he jumped up onto an old window and jumped through it. 

He found himself in a wonderful pond. It was filled with frogs. Everyone lived happily there. They even held all kinds of activities to spend their time. Although other frogs didn't welcome him warmly, he decided to stay

One night, the other frogs caught him and threw him back through the window. They said, " You don't belong to us. Disappear before us the same today and forever. "

The frog woke up in a dark, cold and uncomfortable room. There was a young boy in the room, and the boy was happy to see the frog. Soon they became friends. The boy looked after the frog as well as possible, and he even caught the flies for the frog. However, the frog wasn't satisfied with his life. He kept thinking about all the good things in the wonderful pond, and wanted to go back there. One night, when it was getting colder, the frog jumped out of the window. 

He went to the North Pole. It was so cold that the frog quickly jumped back through the window. This time, he found himself in a desert! No matter how many times the frog jumped through the window, he would always come out at either the North Pole or the desert. The sad frog missed the kind boy. He realized he missed the happy life he used to have. But now it was too late.
