Thailand (泰国) has many holidays. Songkran starts on April 13 every year and lasts for three days. We call it "Thai New Year". April IS is the first day of the New Year.
Thai New Year is a good time for all the children to show how much love they have for their parents. In this holiday. children give some flowers to their parents and then pour some water on their parents' hands. Songkran is also known as the "Water Festival" because people believe (相信) water will wash bad luck (运气) away.
