Life is full of surprise as long as you try your best in the face of challenges.I still remember my music teacher Ms.Smith，and her words"Be a true winner in your own heart."encourage me to improve myself in many ways.
I used to be afraid of joining in school activities.Once，our school had a welcome party for new foreign teachers.My teacher asked me to show Chinese kung fu.Though I have been learning it since nearly four years ago，I still worried about it，because it was the first time for me to stand on stage.
The party began with Peking Opera.When I stood on stage，I felt even more nervous.I worried that others would laugh at me if I couldn't do it perfectly.I thought of the music teacher's words" Be a true winner in your own heart"，and I became brave.Then I started my performance.Hearing applause（掌声） from the teachers，I knew I made it.
When I finished my show，I ran towards Ms.Smith，and I gave her a big hug（拥抱）.It was Ms.Smith that made me realize how strong I could be.The valuable（宝贵的） experience did give me a great lesson.It encouraged me to keep challenging myself to be a better man.
