A son went to the restaurant with his old father for an evening dinner. His dad wasweak that he could hardly behave well at table. Some food from his hand and mouth (drop) on his T-shirt down to his trousers. During this act, other diners(用餐者) watched the son in amazement. They couldn't really believe how someone could embarrass(使尴尬) himself public.
But the son seemed not to be(worry) at all. After they finished
(eat), he gently lifted his dad up and took him to the washroom. There he wiped(擦) away the left food from his dad's clothes. Not just doing that, he even combed(梳理) his dad's hair and wiped off the remaining water on his mouth.
As they came out of the washroom, the restaurant went silent. The son (pay) the bill and started (walk) out with his father.
Just then, another old man in the restaurant called out to the son and asked him, "Don't you think you have left (something) behind?"
The son looked at his table and said, "No, sir. I haven't."
The old man said, "Well, you left two (thing) behind. You left a lesson to every son a hope for every dad here."
