When I was 14, I was always the best of all the students in my class. It was much 1 for me to get good scores, so I always showed off and laughed at 2 .
I didn't realize that it was 3 . I also didn't realize that my arrogance (傲慢) kept me away from others. And I became a trouble -maker in Miss Li's class. One day. I played 4 on her in front of crowds. Then she had a conversation with me after class. She told me, "Knowledge gives us 5 , not pride. 6 you don't change yourself, you will 7 many things and 8 doing that one day." Her words 9 touched me. Then I knew the importance of being humble (谦逊的). I realized that being humble is one of the most helpful ways to improve myself. I 10 up my mind to do something different. And day by day, I had a better relationship with my classmates.
