Grandma Grace came from a rich family. On Sunday afternoons her family used to walk in the park. The way people dressed up was different then. For example, men wore hats when they went out. Her family used to go to the seaside during the summer holidays. She loved going to the beach. Some of her happiest memories are of those family holidays, but now she gets old. She enjoys staying at home.
Grandpa Graham lived in the East End of London. He is a quiet old man now. Can you imagine he used to be a boxer （拳击手） as a boy? He had a motorbike, and he used to drive it very fast. However, be doesn't do dangerous things like that now.
Grandma Grace didn't use to work. So most of the time she stayed at home. She used to be interested in cooking and killed time by cooking. Grandpa Graham used to sell vegetables for a living. It wasn't an easy life because he started his working day at 4 a.m. and finished at 8 p.m. Grandma Grace often bought vegetables at his market stall （摊位）. Gradually （渐渐地） they got to know each other and fell in love.
