Old poems, English words… you must have a lot to remember at school. What if you could remember things like a photo? Scientists have tried to find out how to make us remember better. Here are some tips they found.
Sleeping in a rocking (摇摆) bed
Remember how you slept so well when you were little and your mom rocked you to sleep? Scientists have found that if we sleep in a rocking bed, we can have a deeper sleep, which is good for our memory. So maybe you should buy a rocking bed.
Get emotional
Emotions (情绪) play a big role in remembering things. When you feel strong emotions, you can remember things really well. This is because a part of your brain deals with both emotions and memories. The brain wants us to remember what makes us so sad or happy. So next time you want to remember some knowledge, try to get yourself excited or angry. Then, just take out your book to learn new things!
Exercise hard
Scientists asked people to either ride a bike slowly for 90 minutes or do it really fast for 6 minutes. It showed that short but hard exercises can help remember things quickly. After doing six minutes of hard exercise, you should get down to remembering things!
