Sammie Vance, a seventh grader from US, is a loving girl. When she sees children sitting in the corner and (have) lunch without anyone to talk to, she feels sad. But she is shy and it's really d for her to just walk up and say something.
One day, Vance learns about buddy benches (伙伴长椅). These benches are seats (座位) at a school playground. A lonely (孤独的) child can (sit) on it. Then others k he or she is in need of a friend.
She loves this idea. "It would be really cool to have these benches at my school, Vance says. She calls on her teachers and c to bring bottle caps (瓶盖) together. Vance goes to s , parks, even restaurants to get more bottle caps. Her mother also gives a helping hand. She finds a green way to turn the bottle caps into benches.
Vance does the s thing for other schools, too. She also makes a Facebook page so that people can give away bottle caps. She is really happy when she gets bottle caps Germany, Australia and Israel. She never thinks that people from far away would also be (interest) in her idea.
When Vance finishes making 200 benches in schools and other places, she feels like a s. But she is not going to stop.
