One day, Dad took Tim and Lily to the supermarket. She'd been trying to 1 the perfect gift for Dad's coming birthday. This year, she planned to prepare a present that couldn't be bought at a store or ordered online.
"Daddy!" Tim appeared and shouted, 2 a cereal (麦片) box in the air, "It has a dragon inside! And it's 3 and good for us!"
When they got home, Tim couldn't 4 to take the box of cereal upstairs to his room. But just after a while, Lily could hear Tim shouting. "No! No! "Tim's voice kept getting louder and louder. "They lied! No dragon. Just a picture on the box. " It sounded like he was going to cry.

Lily decided to work with Tim, 12 a dragon story and having Tim read for Dad. She couldn't wait to share her idea with Tim. Unexpectedly, he shook his head. Lily realized that Tim didn't believe in himself, so she encouraged him to have a 13 and promised that she would tried her best to help him. Finally Tim agreed. In the following days, they two worked hard together. Soon a new dragon story was born. Then, Lily taught him to read patiently and Tim 14 reading out the whole story.
On Dad's birthday, Lily announced, "Here is a present from both of us! A dragon story written by us! "Then Tim read the whole story fluently (流利地). "This is the best birthday present I have ever 15 !" Dad said excitedly, holding both children in his arms.
