"I'm so hungry (饿的) that I can eat an elephant!" Tim says.
It is time1 lunch.2 boys stand beside their mother. look at the menu (菜单) and are telling their mother how hungry they are,3 their mother looks worriedly at her money in her hand. She is afraid (害怕) because she doesn't have much money to buy the4 . Her boys are always hungry. She says, "They are5 wolves (狼)."
"Boys. I only have twenty dollars. That's not6 . but we'll get as much food as we can. It will have to last until (直到) we get home for7 ."
Rob says. "That's it?"
Tim8 for a while (片刻) and says, "I have an idea. Let's look at the menu, find the cheapest things and get the most food!"
"That's really a great9 ." Mom smiles. Her boys will find a way to fill (their stomachs with the money they have.
"I can do without (没有) a10 . There's water in the car." Rob says.
Steve11 I that idea. Less drink and more food. "I can wait (等待), too."
"I'll get one and we can drink together." Tim says.
"Onion rings are more expensive than French fries. "Rob says,12 the menu. "If we all share two large (大的) fries, we can save (节约) money."
"The hamburgers are cheaper than cheeseburgers." Steve says.
"But I love cheeseburgers. . . well, maybe13 time." Tim says.
"I think we can14 four chicken sandwiches, four hamburgers, two large fries, and one drink." Steve says.
"I need my 2-for-l (买一送一) apple pies!" Mom calls out happily, and she feels15 .
