The Chongyang Festival is a traditional (传统的) Chinese Festival. It usually comes in October or November. It's on the ninth day of the ninth month in the Chinese calender, so it's also called the "Double Ninth Festival". On this day, people always wear the zhuyu (茱萸) plant. They usually climb mountains. People believe that going up a mountain on this day can bring them good luck and make them live longer. Sometimes they go to see flower shows.
The Double Ninth Festival is a festival for old people. Young people usually do something for the old. They usually visit their parents or grandparents and have gifts for them on this day. They often eat Chongyang cakes together. It's delicious and can also bring people good luck.
