Chinese tennis player Zheng Qinwen has been the biggest surprise for China in the sports world since the beginning of
2022. Born in Hubei, the 20-year-old girl started playing sports from an early age. "I was fat as a kid and I got sick often, so my parents told me to choose one sport to play. I started with table tennis but quickly looked for other sports. I tried badminton, basketball and then I tried tennis, " Zheng said.
At the age of six, Zheng went to watch 2008 Beijing Olympic Games with her family. She was excited and cheered all the time. But when it came to tennis, Zheng sat quietly and seemed to be thinking about something. That was the moment when Zheng became sure about her interest in tennis.
